My sister Ruth gave me paper white bulbs for Christmas. I planted them mid January and they are now blooming.

What little snow we have had is almost all gone.

The railway bridge in White River Junction is open now after being closed for more than a month after the Irene floods. The Green Mountain Express is running again for the leaf peepers.

Today was the last paddle for the season. The water is getting too cold for safety without extra gear. It was a good run.

This year’s foliage peak was very colorful, but very brief. Last weekend, few trees had turned. Mid week they were very bright, but many leaves fell in the rain and wind yesterday.
